Covid-19

We want to share with you the steps that we’ve taken to help reduce the risks posed by Covid-19. We closely follow national guidance as well as industry best practice to help prioritise the safety of guests, staff and our local community.

Private Rooms

We’ve changed all of our shared dormitories into a selection of private rooms, all of which have their own en-suite bathroom. We have rooms to suit a variety of different group sizes. All rooms come with bed linen provided, as well as with their own tea tray.

Communal Areas

We know that some guests will prefer to stay in their own room and avoid the communal areas of the hostel. However, you may wish to use the shared lounge and kitchen area. Whilst this is done at your own risk, we have taken steps to help make the experience as safe as possible. 

We have reconfigured our lounge so that each room has an allocated table, with social distancing measures implemented. Each room will also have an allocated fridge in the kitchen and a private set of basic kitchen utensils (pots, cutlery, plates, etc.) that can be hired in advance for a £10 surcharge. We're asking guests to wear a face covering when in any communal area of the building.

Cleaning

We have multiple hand-sanitising stations throughout the building and all guests are encouraged to make use of these regularly. The communal areas will be closed for a short period each afternoon for deep-cleaning, with more regular cleaning of high-contact surfaces. Cleaning products are also left available for you to use if you wish to do so. To reduce contact between staff and guests, we will not be entering guest rooms to clean during your stay. Your rooms will be deep-cleaned after your departure. We have also purchased a new disinfectant fogging machine, which will be used in the deep-cleaning of all areas.

Check-In

We have made changes to reduce the contact between staff and guests, moving to a self check-in system. All guests will receive their guest registration card by email, which must be completed electronically prior to arrival. We have moved to a cash-free system – all payments will be taken by card on the morning of guests’ arrival date. If you prefer to pay by BACS this must be received at least two days before your arrival date. 

Once payment has been finalised and you have submitted your registration form, you will then receive an email containing two codes – one for the main entrance and one to retrieve your room key.
